By pre-paying your final arrangements at today's prices, you will further relieve your family or friends from the financial and emotional burden of such expenses. Inflation causes prices to increase over the years. Our Forethought cremation plan allows you to pay now for future services at today's lower price. Forethought is one of the oldest and largest pre-arrangement companies in the country. Your pre-need funds are placed in an insurance policy or a trust account in accordance with Missouri law. These funds earn interest that remains in the plan and is used to offset future cost increases. The funds cannot be withdrawn until they are needed to pay for the services you selected. All taxes and fees associated with the administration of Forethought plans are included at no additional cost. Because funds are not available until the time of need, the purchaser may elect to convert the plan to irrevocable and therefore be protected when applying for state or federal financial assistance. Regardless of what our charges are in the future, our service is guaranteed today and no additional cash outlay is required of family and friends due to price increases.
While most of our members choose to prepay for their services upfront, we realize that some people appreciate the flexibility of time payments. For your convenience, we offer a wide range of payment options.
Travel Protection
If the death of a Beneficiary covered for cremation services under this Agreement occurs beyond the normal service radius of 50 miles, the Seller will provide cremation services at or near the place of death for no additional expense PROVIDING, that seller is the first and only service provider to be notified of the Beneficiary's death, thus, eliminating unnecessary duplicated charges to the seller and/or Beneficiaries representative. Any costs for additional services not originally contracted for must be borne by Beneficiary or Beneficiary's representative.
